The Puerto Ayacucho jungle is part of the Amazon in
Brazil, the biggest rainforest on earth! This trip is an ideal way for you to
receive an idea of the living in the jungle.
Day 1:
We leave Puerto Ayacucho at 09:00 a.m. by car. After just 30 minutes our jungle adventure starts. We walk for about two hours to a little Indian village where the “Piaroa” tribe lives. While our guide prepares the lunch, there's plenty of time to enjoy a swimming in a refreshing river in the jungle. In the afternoon we start your jungle education! The Indians show us lots of different techniques to catch animals. They explain to us which plants give you drinking water, which is used for medicine or poison! We get an idea how to hunt for tarantulas (without killing them!) or how to build a shelter for the night. The knowledge of the Indians is impressive! Our dinner and overnight stay is in the Indian village. We sleep in hammocks.
Day 2:
After breakfast we still have some time to explore the jungle with the Indian guide until lunch. He shows us more of their different techniques to catch animals and explains us some more details about the vegetation around. In the afternoon we hike back to the car and go to Puerto Ayacucho, where our Tour ends.
