Different ethnic groups like people from Venezuela, Indians and immigrants live together in El Pauji. It is a small village 75km west of Santa Elena and surrounded by beautiful rainforests. Small gold and diamond mines are abundant here, giving us a real feeling of adventure.
Day 1:
We will depart from Posada Backpacker at 9am on your bike, accompanied by your guide and other group members. We head north and the first 10 km of riding are on standard tarmac roads. We will then head east on a natural track to the Indian Community of San Carmilo de Kukenan. Around noon we reach the Raúl Waterfall which is 100m high and this is where we stop for a light lunch.
After lunch we set off for our next destination which is the Morok-Meru waterfall.
It will take us about 2 hours riding to reach this waterfall and this is the location where we rest and camp for the night.
Day 2:
After breakfast we ride our bikes for approximately 3 hours to Zeita waterfall which has a height of 105
meters.
We have the chance to enjoy the scenery and after lunch we return via bicycle to Posada Backpacker in Santa Elena..
Day 3:
After breakfast we leave by 4x4 to visit El Pauji and ascend the small Table Mountain, "El Abismo" which has a wonderful view of the Brazilian Rainforest and the Gran Sabana.
The duration of the walk is about 3 ½ hours and lunch is provided. In the evening we return to Posada Backpacker in Santa Elena..
