Discipulo was born 17.09.1974 in Marañao with the name Francinaldo Rodriguez Dos Santos His family moves when he was 5 years old to Boa Vista, where he still lives today. With the age of 13 years did he start to drink liquor and to use drugs. As a young man was he well known in bad neighborhoods and bars under the nickname "Popy". With 26 years did he barely escaped another man who wanted to kill him.
Discipulo decribed with his own words his life change:
"After 12 years of alcoholism, drugs and many fights came god to me and showed me the paradise. He told to me that this is a promise for the people who are following the word of Jesus. After this experience did I study the bible and changed my name into 'Discipulo'. I started with my woodcraft and sculptures."
Today is Discipulo married and has three children and he is one of the most well know wood scarves in the Amazon region with national and international exhibitions.
